Instructions for Installing Coil Split and Phase Switches
In order to get a wider choice of tones out of your humbucker equipped guitar we have produced a downloadable instruction sheet for installing push/pull pots in your guitar. At least one humbucker must have 4 conductor wiring and ideally both should. You can apply the coil split to one or both pickups. They will not sound like true single coils (unless you use something like a Stag Mag) but will give a thinner, brighter sound, ideal for rhythm guitar in some scenarios. The phase switch is only effective when both pickups are on and gives a sound that is akin to the hollow 'in-between' sound on a Strat. Note: 266kB file size.
